**BEANS IN OK WITH SOME DOGS, BUT CAN BE SELECTIVE. HE WOULD PREFER A HOME WITH OLDER CHILDREN ONLY. HE IS UNKNOWN WITH CATS.**
***Special Needs*** Handsome and strong. Beans is a very special boy that is looking for someone to bond with. He is an adult neutered male Labrador Retriever/Great Dane mix. He is about 4 years old and weighs about 100 pounds. Beans has been through a lot in his short life. He was left all alone when his family lost their home and ended up here. He has suffered from a painful condition called entropian (where the eye lashes curl inward and on the eye causing pain, inflammation and in his case ulcers) for an unknown amount of time. It also takes him some time to relax and warm up to new people, so his transition to kennel life has been challenging. Fortunately, after two months of TLC and surgery he has won the hearts of the staff and is now ready for a second chance. Beans is extremely affectionate once he is comfortable. He loves to snuggle, play fetch and go for walks. He also gets along well with most dogs but does tend to be a little overbearing when he first meets them. Beans is still timid of men and will need a patient and knowledgeable new owner that can help him conquer his fears and teach him new things. He is eager to please and appears to be house trained. He would make a wonderful addition to an active home where he will get lots of love and playtime but where there aren't too many strangers coming and going from the house. If you are interested in giving a deserving dog a second chance, come meet Beans!
