Becoming a foster parent is a big undertaking! Foster pets take time and energy out of your everyday routine, however, it is also very rewarding as you can visually see the difference you are making in a pet’s life. Whether it be a mother and her newborn puppies, orphaned kittens, a dog who just had major surgery, or a pet who needs socialization, your love, care and compassion can make a world of difference for them. Become an in-home hero and help us save more lives by fostering.
The foster application is available at the Humane Society, or you can download a copy here and bring it to the shelter. Once your application is reviewed, we will schedule a formal interview with you.
We will observe the space where your foster pet will be cared for and ensure that living conditions are appropriate for the pet(s). Following the home visit, management will review all information and decide if an applicant is qualified to be a foster.
