Well Experienced in Life - Chewy

Check out this sweet underdog! This handsome dude is Chewy. Chewy is a 10 year old, Pom/Terrier mix that was brought to EHS as a stray. When Chewy arrived, he had significant hair loss and raw, irritated skin, as a result of fleas. In addition to medication to help his skin, and medicated baths, we got Chewy on the right path to start feeling better.

Chewy has a number of qualities that make him an extra special resident at EHS. Not only is he a senior dog, he is partially visually impaired. Chewy recently had a mass removed from his back, got his teeth all cleaned up, and was neutered. He has been a beloved resident of our business wing at the shelter and in just a few days, this sweet boy will be available for adoption.

Chewy absolutely loves affection and cuddles. He seems to enjoy the company of other calm dogs, and does well with children. Chewy needs a patient family who will work with him on housebreaking, but he does seem to do well with potty pads.

Chewy has definitely been through some things, and though he's well experienced in life, he craves the love and companionship of a family. We have been blessed to help him recover from neglect and he is truly feeling his best self.
