First, you should contact all the shelters in your area and provide them with a detailed description of your animal. You should also detail where you lost the pet and provide your contact information.
Erie Humane Society has a bulletin board for owners to put up any lost pet flyers. Once we have been informed of a missing animal, we put them into our computer and ask that the owner regularly update us on their search.
Although, we hold all stray animals for a minimum of 48 hours, it is important that you act fast.
