Rescue Day Camp

Calling All Campers!

CAMP RESCUE 2024 WAS AMAZING! We cannot wait to have you all again in 2025! Stay tuned for potential camp dates/ registration for 2025!

(10am to 4pm each day)

Registration starts at 9:30am each day! Registration tables will be set up outside of the shelter each day in front of the garage. Prompt pick-up between 3:30- 4pm! Please be on time!

Friday camp ends at 1PM. Please be on time for camper pick-up.

PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN CHILD IN/ OUT EACH DAY!

CAMP RESCUE WAIVER (see below) MUST be printed, signed, and returned at registration PRIOR to camp start!

COST:

$50/day (days spots are limited)

$200 for all 5 days!

Registration includes an official EHS Rescue Day Camp T-shirt designed by our t-shirt contest WINNER

CAMP INFORMATION FOR PARENTS:

  • Please remember to dress your children for the weather. Camper's spend majority of the day outside.
  • Please apply sunscreen/ bug repellent to your children prior to camp start each morning. Staff will not be responsible to apply.
  • Please pack extra dry clothes as well as a bathing suit and towel daily for creek play (located behind the shelter). Campers will enjoy an hour at the creek each afternoon. IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT HAVE A CHANGE OF SWIM CLOTHES/SANDALS/ TOWEL FOR THE CREEK, THEY WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO GO IN. There will be alternative activities to enjoy.
  • Please make sure your child has a big water bottle/ lunch/ snack packed each day. Lunches will not be refrigerated.
  • Friday will be an all-campers COOKOUT. Smith's Hotdogs kindly donated hot dogs for our campers to enjoy! EHS will provide a juice box and a bag of chips for our cookout! You are welcome to pack an additional lunch for your child, if desired. Children will be dismissed at the end of the cookout by 1pm.
  • Face Painting by Connie will be on site on WEDNESDAY! Campers can choose face painting, tattoos, feathers for an additional fee (prices range from $5-$20). Parents must send in money labeled in an envelope with their child's first and last name if they choose to participate.
  • KONA ICE will be on site on TUESDAY! Campers can choose different sizes and multiple flavors of Kona Ice. Parent's must send in money (prices range from $3-$6) for their child in an envelope labeled with their first and last name if they choose to participate.
  • Campers can stop in our Candy Shop and buy a few pieces of candy to fuel that sweet tooth DAILY. If you choose to have your child participate in the candy shop, please send in money with your child daily in an envelope labeled with their first and last name daily. Candy will be either 2 pieces/$1 or 3 pieces/$1. We encourage single dollar bills to make the candy shop a smooth process.
  • Peanut Butter is used for daily enrichment activities at the shelter, please e-mail karah@eriehumanesociety.org if your child has a peanut allergy PRIOR to the start of camp!!

Please remind campers there is zero tolerance for bullying / foul language. Parents will be notified after the first occurrence to pick up their camper.
